2010...is here... New for 2010 is a name change for the championship - from the Grand Tour Series, to the Grand Prix Series. By strict definition, the Grand Tour requires all rounds to be contested, where a GP is a championship based on criteria of participation to decide a champion – meaning, the format we have selected for all previous GT’s and future GP’s is correct and best for a GP by definition. Also, new for 2010, the AIHPA committee have agreed to conduct only 2 G'sP in 2010, being a GP championship for the International Match Course (best 3 rounds) and a GP Championship for the Tactical Match Course (best 3 rounds). This gives shooters the opportunity to contest a GP Championship for both unsupported freestyle and supported tactical styles of shooting. 2010 will be a year of “back to basics” and should be much simpler and easier for all to attend, follow and plan. 2009 GT FINAL UPDATE
– Final results for all courses. The year has been a long, and busy, one. We've toured over the east coast of Australia, with new events in the ACT, Aberdeen (return) and Taree. All these meets were well liked and received. All the results contested over the year are now final, after the IMC was closed out after the Taree meet a few weeks back - since the Sydney Kokoda Track Memorial IMC was cancelled due to the Australian Golf Open patrons using our range as a carpark.
