ACROSS THE COURSE - HIGH POWER RIFLE
AUSTRALIAN MASTERS
Background: This event first ran in 2004 held at the Sydney (ANZAC) range thanks to SSAA Sydney Branch. It is one of the biggest titles on the Australian High Power Rifle calendar. Unfortunately this inaugural running of the event in 2004 was cut short due to weather, but 2005 was a fantastic event held at Grafton Rifle Club, then backed up at Gilgandra in 2006. Evolution now has this event going from a single stand alone meet to combine with the annual Nationals of which this match is part of. The course of fire changed from the IMC to the current 30 shot format made up of 3 IMC strings, each of 10 shots, to simulate the prestigious "Presidents 100" shot at the National Matchs, Camp Perry USA.
This event is sure to grow to be one of the best in the country when it joins the Australian Masters Games in 2007 (a Games that encompasses over 40 sports).
