Travel along Mendooran Rd (off Newell Hwy) east from Gilgandra, towards Mendooran, for approx 7-8km.

Look for a northern turnoff side road “Bearbung Rd” - sign posted to Rifle Range 2.5km.

Travellers note.  Some GSM, 3G and CDMA mobile services work at range and accommodation.  Range operates on UHF Ch30.

                - 800y Pits type with 4 targets (fixed targets, multi firing distances).

                - Shotgun trap.

Mobile phone service:    Yes - Most services available - Optus, Telstra CDMA, Next G.

Accommodation: Is located 3km from the range proper.  Guests stay in dorm type rooms and are only required to bring linen and pillow.  Has hot showers, flush toilets, kitchen and mess hall.

        Prices:
            - Thursday through Sunday:  Full facility camping 3km from range for small fee of $10/night.
            - Full facility Dorm & room accommodation available for $20/night (meals extra).
