If you own a field rifle, factory sporter, 303, Mauser or any type of centrefire rifle, this is your weekend!

Equip:   Either scope or binoculars etc, Shooting Mat, Pen, Eye and Ear protection, licence, etc.

Shooters setup own targets, work with other shooters, etc.  All practice is on 4x4 targets only.

SATURDAY – SYDNEY OPEN        7.30am ARRIVAL AND SIGN-ON.

MATCH 1   - INTERNATIONAL MATCH COURSE – 88 rounds. (for first rifle spec)

3 Warm Up Shots in 3 minutes.

String 1            200,     Deliberate         - 2 sighters and 20 shots, Standing Off Hand, on NRA SR target – 22min.

String 2            200,     Rapid               - 2 sighters then 2x 10 shots 60 seconds, Sitting or Kneeling, SR target.

String 3            300,     Rapid               - 2 sighters then 2x 10 shots 70 sec, Prone, SR3 target.

String 4            600,     Deliberate         - 2 sighters and 20 shots, Prone, MR-1 target – 22min

MATCH 2   - TACTICAL MATCH COURSE – “ANY Rifle” (any sight) (bi-pod or front rest etc only)

- Warm Up, 5 shots in 5 minutes @ 600.                      Entire match shot on MR-1 target.

                        - Deliberate, 10 rounds in 3minutes (no marking), then directly into next string,

SUNDAY – HUNTER VALLEY OPEN    7.30am ARRIVAL AND SIGN-ON.

MATCH 3   - INTERNATIONAL MATCH COURSE – 88 rounds.

This day is for a different spec for the competition, or same spec for qualification, classification or GP.

TROPHIES:

Cost: $40 for all rifle matches.  Or, $30 Per Day.  Tactical only $15.

Non AIHPA members pay $5 per event pass to be eligible to titles.  Membership available on the day.

All food and drinks are BYO all weekend.

Pre-nominations not required – just show up.

Accommodation suggestions: Motels and hotels in Aberdeen, Muswellbrook & Scone.

Range: Travel along New England Highway, to southern side of Aberdeen.  Turn east at the small brick shopping centre.  Go over train track bridge, to next intersection.  Turn right then turn left into property and proceed towards range gates.
