Held at Aberdeen Rifle Club range, Aberdeen NSW

This event has built more and more tradition every year.  However the recent injustices carried out, again, against shooters and shooting sports, due to the closure of Sydney’s ANZAC range, this title has moved to Aberdeen.  Perhaps in the future, it will return to Sydney, its rightful home.

Rifle Classes:

          - Service As Issued Iron Sights (class A, B, C – Spec 1 & 1a)

            - Service Origin – Modified Iron Sights (class H – Spec 2).

            - Open (sporter/match) Iron Sights (Spec 3)

            - Scoped Rifle (sporter/match) Optical Sights (F/G/J/T/Match – Spec 5 & 5a)

SATURDAY                    7.30am ARRIVAL AND SIGN-ON.

MATCH 1   - INTERNATIONAL MATCH COURSE – 88 rounds. (for first rifle spec)

String 1            200,     Deliberate         - 2 sighters and 20 shots, Standing Off Hand, on NRA SR target – 22min.

String 2            200,     Rapid               - 2 sighters then 2x 10 shots 60 seconds, Sitting or Kneeling, SR target.

String 3            300,     Rapid               - 2 sighters then 2x 10 shots 70 sec, Prone, SR3 target.

String 4            600,     Deliberate         - 2 sighters and 20 shots, Prone, MR-1 target – 22min

MATCH 2   - TACTICAL MATCH COURSE – “ANY Rifle” (any sight) (bi-pod or front rest etc only)

- Warm Up, 5 shots in 5 minutes @ 600.                      Entire match shot on MR-1 target.

                        - Deliberate, 10 rnds in 3min (no marking), then Snap, 5x 6 second exposures to fire 10 rounds.

SUNDAY                7.30am ARRIVAL AND SIGN-ON.

MATCH 3   Phase 1             warm up, 5 shots at 300.

             String 1 – SSAA 3 POSITION CORE EVENT (30 rounds) – walk up.

           String 2 – SSAA RAPID FIRE B (2x10 rnds prone) Start with actions open.

            Note String 1 & 2 are shot back to back.  At completion of string 2, detail shooting will go direct to pits.

Phase 2    warm up, 5 shots at 200, then, VINTAGE MATCH COURSE

                Incl the VMC (Vintage Match Course) as follows:

   String 3 – SLOW FIRE - PRONE (10 rnds) @ 200.

             String 4 – RAPID FIRE - PRONE (10 rnds) @ 200 70seconds.

             String 5 – RAPID FIRE - SITTING (10 rnds) @ 200 70 seconds.

             String 6 – SLOW FIRE - STANDING (10 rnds) @ 100.

TROPHIES:

Cost: $45 for all rifle matches.  Or, $30 Per Day.  Tactical only $15.

Non AIHPA members pay $5 per event pass to be eligible to titles.  Membership available on the day.

All food and drinks are BYO all weekend.  Pre-nominations not required – just show up.

Accommodation suggestions: Motels and hotels in Aberdeen, Muswellbrook & Scone.

Range: Travel along New England Highway, to southern side of Aberdeen.  Turn east at the small brick shopping centre.  Go over train track bridge, to next intersection.  Turn right then turn left into property and proceed towards range gates.
