If you own a field rifle, factory sporter, 303, Mauser or any type of centrefire rifle, this is your weekend!
Equip:   Either scope or binoculars etc, Shooting Mat, Pen, Eye and Ear protection, licence, etc.

FRIDAY      Practice from Midday.  This needs to be confirmed the day prior to the event.  Please email your interest.  Shooters setup own targets, work with other shooters, etc.  All practice is on 4x4 targets only.

SATURDAY           7.30am ARRIVAL AND SIGN-ON.

MATCH 1a - TACTICAL MATCH COURSE – “ANY Rifle” (any sight) (bi-pod or front rest etc only)
                        - Warm Up, 5 shots in 5 minutes @ 600.                      Entire match shot on MR-1 target.
                        - Deliberate, 10 rounds in 3minutes (no marking), then directly into next string,
                        - Snap, 5x 6 second exposures to fire 10 rounds.

MATCH 1b           - TACTICAL HARD-CORE – “ANY Rifle” (any sight) (bi-pod or front rest etc only)
                        - Warm Up, 5 shots in 5 minutes @ 700 – no further sighters.
                        - 70 rounds - Forced Deliberate, Rapid & Snap fire, per course (see flyer on website).
                        - Shot over distances 700, 600, 500, 400, 300 & 200 on Type B, Fig 11, 12 & 14 targets.

- Entire match is shot in one visit to the range starting at 700 and walking up range.
- All equipment must be taken down range – nothing left behind.
- Firers view after each string, prior to moving down range.
- 2 minute time limit to be ready for next string.

SUNDAY                7.30am ARRIVAL AND SIGN-ON.

MATCH 2   - 80 SHOT INTERNATIONAL MATCH COURSE – 88 rounds.

Match starts with 3 Warm Up Shots in 3 minutes – any position, supported optional.

String 1            200,     Deliberate         - 2 sighters and 20 shots, Standing Off Hand, on NRA SR target – 22min.
String 2            200,     Rapid               - 2 sighters then 2x 10 shots 60 seconds, Sitting or Kneeling, SR target.
String 3            300,     Rapid               - 2 sighters then 2x 10 shots 70 sec, Prone, SR3 target.
String 4            600,     Deliberate         - 2 sighters and 20 shots, Prone, MR-1 target – 22min.

TROPHIES:

Cost: $50 for all rifle matches.  Or, $30 Per Day.

Non AIHPA members pay $5 per event pass to be eligible to titles.  Membership available on the day.

All food and drinks are BYO all weekend.

Pre-nominations not required – just show up.

Accommodation suggestions: Local motels and hotels in Aberdeen.  Muswellbrook & Scone close by.

Range: Travel along New England Highway, just south of Aberdeen.  Turn east (right) at the small brick shop centre.  Take next right and then turn left, proceed through gates towards range proper.
