HIGH POWER XC & ASRA/NRAA SERVICE RIFLE


Classes:

·          As Issued Service Rifle: eq. All military rifles in as issued condition only.

·          Match Rifle Iron: eg. Military & commercial actions, iron sights.

·          Match Rifle Optic: eg. Military & commercial actions, scoped.

 

AIHPA Members: Bring grade card for record, grade entry and postal.

 

Class Change: If changing daily, grand agg & pick of the table will be taken from highest class shot.

 

Prizes:

·          Prizes, Patches & Medals: (Gold, Silver & Bronze) for daily Agg ‘s, all classes.

·          Ladies, Vets & Juniors Gold match 10 only.

·          Patches 1-3 Match Iron, 1-3 Match Optic, 1-5 and as Issued Class.

·          Prize Table pick will be 1st in each class, 2nd in each class & so on based on grand agg match 10, (everybody gets a pick of table).

·          Perpetual Trophies:

Ø        The Mal Rose Trophy to the 200m agg. winner

Ø        The Tamtek Trophy to the 300 agg. winner regardless of class.

 

Who is Eligible to Shoot:

 

The shoot is open to ASRA, NRA, AIHPA & SSAA members.

 

Entry Fee:

·          $40 adults, $25 junior (one day $25).

·          Entries from 7am sat.

 

Program:

Sat. 15th Oct  8 am sharp start

·          Saturday event will be a High Power National Match course of fire.

·          Match 1- 200m slow fire standing, 2 +10.single load (No sling.)

·          Match 2- 200m rapid, standing to seated 2+10, 60 sec. with reload.

·          Match 3- 300m rapid, standing to prone, 2+ 10, 70 sec. with reload.

·          Match 4- 600m slow fire prone, 2+20 single load 20 mins.

·          Match 5- Day Agg, Matches 1,2,3,4.


Sun. 16th Oct.8 am sharp start

·          Match 6- 300m del. type B, prone unsupported, 2+10.

·          Match 7- 300m rapid, type B. 2+10 (5 in 30 secs. reload 30, 5 in 30)

·          Match 8- 300m snap, type B, 2+10 4 secs. exps.

·          Match 9- Day 2 Agg, Matches 6,7,8.

·          Match 10- Grand Agg Matches 5 & 9.

 

Presentation will begin ASAP after lunch Sunday to enable visitors to get an early start home BBQ, drinks, tea & coffee available.

Rifle and General Specifications:


T&PVRC specify these rules and procedures in an effort to promote Service & Match Rifle Competition to a high standard into the future. Safety is paramount & T&PVRC range standing orders will be strictly adhered too.

 

Standard Service Rifle:

  1. These may be any Standard Issue Service Rifle, externally complete as issued, 8mm max.
  2. Triggers to be mm. of 4.5 lbs. Mausers may be 3.5 lbs mm.
  3. Replacement barrels to be +5% of original.
  4. Windage adjustment is not allowed.


Match Iron:

  1. These rifles may have Service rifle action or Commercial sporter action in any cal. to 8mm.
  2. Corrective lenses’s & monoculars are permitted.
  3. Aftermarket Iron sights, tunnels etc, etc, permitted.
  4. Windage & elevation sight adjustments allowed during any match.
  5. Barrel dimensions are open.
  6. Stocks may be any suitable material, adjustable cheek & butts permitted.
  7. Commercial actions should have the ability to hold at least 5 rounds and able to be reloaded quickly.
  8. Trigger weight is to be that of safe working operation. After market triggers may be fitted. Set or electronic triggers are not permitted. A trigger shall be deemed in safe working condition if:

a)     The trigger is enclosed in a suitable trigger guard.

b)     Vigorous cycling of the action does not cause trigger to release.

  1. Left hand bolt modification to military action is permitted in an acceptable manner, eg. welding, then tested by an independent Metallurgist to establish the integrity of the bolts metal.


Match Optic:

The same as the Match Iron Category for rifle description, with the addition of a scope

 
General Conditions:
The following list of items must conform to SSAA and AIHPA.

  1. Safety catches.
  2. Slings- Must be of military pattern as issued only. Match Rifle, any single point sling.
  3. Clothing.
  4. Hearing protection is compulsory whilst in the vicinity of the firing line.
  5. Specialised shooting hats, gloves, coats & mitts are not permitted in as issued class only.
  6. Ground sheets or mats are for the use of protecting clothing. Specialised shooting mats are not permitted in as issued class only.
  7. Unserviceable Rifles, Misfires & Jams.
  8. The same rifle is to be used for all matches, Daily.
lf the rifle becomes unserviceable the R.O. may permit the competitor to use an alternate rifle and continue, but not to re-shoot, the match.
