AIHPA - INTERNATIONAL MATCH COURSE - RIMFIRE MATCH

This International Match Course is based on the High Power IMC but tailored to be more conducive for Australian with a 22cal Rimfire over 50 yards.

The same process and rules apply from High Power IMC, except for this rimfire match:

- Shot with a rimfire.22 cal rifle, either in Long Rifle or Magnum (no hot rimfire rounds like WMR or HMR, etc).

- Same rifle configurations and theme as spec 1, 2 & 4 rifles from High Power IMC, but all compete together (ie. 1 class only). This may change over time with more experience running the match...eg. break into iron sight and optic classes?  This also means, no shooting coats or specialist shooting clothing.  Glove permitted.  Sling may be removable for off-hand.

- All shot at no less than 50 yards.

Course conduct is having 5 targets at 50 yards (min distance).

Shooter takes position on the firing point with all equipment for the 40 shot match plus sighters.

Target 1, SSAA 50 Rimfire is a sighter target (suggest cut card into 2 targets).  It is up to the range or the shooter, to take sighters before the match, or before each string...or a combination of...but all sighters are on the sighting target ONLY.

Target 2, SSAA 50 Rimfire is Prone slow.  Target 2 for record shots only.  Sighters go on sighter target only.

Target 3, SSAA 50 Rimfire is Prone rapid.  Target 3 for record shots only.  Sighters go on sighter target only.

Target 4, SSAA 100 CF is Sitting rapid.  Target 4 for record shots only.  Sighters go on sighter target only.

Target 5, SSAA 100 CF is Offhand slow.  Target 5 for record shots only.  Sighters go on sighter target only.

Match can be shot in any order.  Above order is just an example.

Targets may be fewer, with scoring and patching taking place during the match, so the same targets may be re-used. This is at organiser discretion and must be relayed to shooters prior to match call.

There should be no more than 5 minutes between strings, which is a 2 min notice period and 3 minute preparation period.  OR, where no target changes or scoring and patching during a string takes place, set a block time of 45 minutes.

For all other rules, procedures etc, refer to the High Power IMC course.
